Ferry Flights Sherpa 330
Ferry Flights Sherpa 330 journal. We recently completed a ferry flight with a Shorts Sherpa 330 aircraft, flown by a highly experienced crew of two. Known for their extensive global flying expertise. Our journey began at Nairobi’s Wilson Airport and concluded in Chicago, USA, with stopovers in Entebbe, Uganda; Accra, Ghana; the Cape Verde Islands; Barbados; and Miami.
This entire flight was hand-flown, with no autopilot assistance. The aircraft was equipped with advanced navigation tools, including multiple GPS systems. As well as Worldwide Jeppesen charts and maps, a temporary HF radio installation, and a satellite phone. We also ensured all necessary survival equipment was on board for safety.
Six 1,000-liter ferry tanks
For this flight, the Shorts 330 Sherpa was fitted with six 1,000-liter ferry tanks. Featuring robust brass hydraulic valves, aviation fuel pumps with two backups, filters, and other essential equipment. Additionally, a 40 kg tow bar was secured atop the ferry tanks. Essential for handling the aircraft at various airports along our route. Contact us for a quote.
